The Romano family, owners of Boulder’s highly respected the Mediterranean and French styled restaurants The Med and Brasserie Ten Ten respectively, will soon be adding Italian fare to their growing European style palate. As of August, they are proud owners of 901 Pearl St. where Peg Romano herself is designing Via Perla, which is Italian for “Pearl Street.” Just as their menu is rumored to pull from all regions of Italy, their decor will boast an eclectic marble, limestone, wrought iron, and mahogany design giving it a rich country-chic Italian vibe. An open seating plan and patio along with a kitchen that’s open to the dining room make for an airy, inviting feel.
Kelly Kingsford, Executive Chef of both The Med and Brasserie, will take on Via Perla as well. Kelly and Peg are solidifying menu plans after taking a March trip to the boot country, and you can bet that it will be every bit as appealing as their other menus.
Meanwhile, the condos also purchased in the building are selling as fast as the last piece of pizza on a Friday late night food hunt. There will also be a retail space adjacent to the restaurant for lease.
This latest addition to the Romano’s Walnut Restaurant Group is sure to become a Boulder favorite just as the rest of their delicious restaurants have.
